Cmas 2009 in London
Our 1st Christmas in another Country.
Since we just got here in October we decided to stay in London for Christmas.
Apparently this did not settle well with Mike's parents because the next thing we knew they were ringing our doorbell. This is the 1st time we had someone care so much to leave everything and fly over the ocean to make sure we weren't alone for the holidays. I never really feel alone as long as I have Mike, but I thought it was exceptionally sweet of them to make the trip and it was so great to see them and show them our new place and city. I hope they had a great time.
A few Christmas highlights:
1) We saw Jersey Boys while sitting in a Circle Box (We were totally spoiled)
2) Oovoo'ing with the Raimonde's in Florida, seeing Marie traveling again and totally loving holding her new grand baby
3) Christmas Day Lunch at The Ebury (located in Sloane Square/Chelsea) It was the most delicious meal that I have had in London. Christmas lunch was perfect.
4)Portobello Road on Sunday helping San shop for boots ~ she went home with two pair
5) The look on Mike Seniors face when I deflated the Christmas tree a mere 2 days after Christmas ~ I had never seen him make that face before and I never want to see it again. After that I decided I should attack the stockings after his departure.
6) I learned how to make the McCooey/Raimonde famous "Hamburger Olive Bread"
7) The suitcase full of American treats that the parents brought with them!
We are looking forward to an exciting 2010 and hope you are too!
Cheers,
WMMc
