The Travel Bookshop (Notting Hill)
The Travel Bookshop:
I gotta admit at first the only reason I went in this bookshop was because it was in the movie "Notting Hill", what can I say "I'm just a girl asking a boy to love her" (if you dont know, thats a line from the movie) I am a sucker for a romantic comedy and so I am a sucker for all things Notting Hill.... Best news of all, its right down the hill from where I live, like less than a 5 minute walk, yeah I'm urban, not suburban... anyways... When I went in, I fell in love with the place, its adorable, its cozy and its all things travel and people I LOVE TO TRAVEL ~ I feel that if it exists I need to go there and see it ~
So, if you are ever in Notting Hill, this is a must, it'll only take up a few minutes of your time and oh so worth it.
Per the internet:
Since 1979 our aim has been to offer the literary traveller a complete reading experience of every country in the world. In addition to stocking an enormous range of the latest guidebooks, we offer travelogues, literature, history and biography, all arranged country by country. Our stock also includes photographic titles, maps, atlases and an eclectic range of second-hand, rare and antiquarian books.
At thetravelbookshop.com you can browse the current most popular titles by category, catch up on our latest news and forthcoming events, and purchase any title listed online using our secure debit and credit card system. We are happy to order any currently available title in print (on travel or any other subject) for next-day delivery to the shop and our experienced and well-travelled staff will be pleased to make recommendations.
The shop was also the inspiration for the bookshop in the 1999 hit movie Notting Hill starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
We are open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on Sundays.
Cheers,
WMMc
