The good, the bad, and the ugly

So we fly to Nashville on a half empty plane... this=happy faces! I got an entire row to myself.

We get to Nashville and Mike works nonstop. He didn't take vacation to go. By nonstop I mean he was sleeping 2-4 hours a night.

I barely saw non-working Mike the whole time. At one point I didn't see him at all because his boss asked him to come back to London a week early. This after knowing the reason we went home was because my grandfather has cancer & we were celebrating the end of his radiation treatments.
To top it off the early exit caused him to miss my birthday... anyways...
I think this is shit.

Enough of that... (that was the ugly and the cancer was the bad)

Now for the good...
I got to drive a car for the first time in a long time, I got to see my close friends that I had missed and I got to spend a lot of time with my family. Oh and I shopped! Oh did I shop! After paying in Great Britain Pounds for a while everything looked so cheap in the States! We also went to see Better Than Ezra at the Wildhorse Saloon.

Since I knew I would be flying over the Atlantic for my birthday alone I decided to go to my favorite store "Anthropology" and see what I could find. I usually get a 15% off coupon for my birthday from them, but never got it this year, so I asked about it and they said it was now "random"...apparently not because I got it a week later... Let's just say that coupon had it arrived on time would of saved me $63 Bucks! Yeah, I bought a lot, Happy 34th to me!

Some more good is that I went to Sam's in Hillsboro Village TWICE and had my tasty ribs and fries.... I went to Waffle House TWICE and had my tasty waffle and my bacon, egg and cheese on wheat.... I went to Valentino's along with some close friends for an early birthday dinner at Valentino's on West End and had my tasty potato gnocchi and bananas foster. They have the best gnocchi I've ever eaten. They have two, I like the one with the peas, prosciutto, and mushrooms in the the cream sauce. YUM! I went to Marche` and had my tasty french toast and bacon...Went to Jackson's and had my tasty Chicken Salad Torrado... I went to Chipotle twice and had tasty tacos.

Speaking of food my Mom gave me some birthday cupcakes, chocolate with cream cheese icing that were incredibly TASTY! They came from the HG Hills Urban Market downtown Nashville, I think its on 4th and Church Street. Go get some today! YUM!

My great niece, Madison, who is the 51 week old in these pictures turns 1 on February 4th. We celebrated a bit early before I left. She is SO CUTE & such a HAPPY BABY. She didn't care so much for the gift I gave her, but loved the cupcake icing and the box that the toy came in. Happy early birthday Madison!

I also had my first international interview yesterday. I should know Thursday if I got it or not. I hope I do. I'd like to do this and QVC if it works out. Wish me luck.

This blog is a bit boring this time around... I think it has something to do with exhaustion and bitterness... But stay tuned for more humor and excitement I'm in the midst of trying to load a video of a tv segment I did...

Cheers,
WMMc
