Israel

So last week we went to Israel! Yep Israel!
How was it? Totally BadAss! One of the coolest trips that I've been on.
How was airport security? Brutal.

We started out in Tel Aviv which was founded in 1909.

We got in late...stayed at the Art Plus Hotel on Ben Yehuda...woke up checked out the beautiful beach there and wished we had time to swim... then off to Carmel Market later caught a taxi to Jerusalem where we later met up with a friend who was there for work.
Fantastic Weather!
Tel Aviv Beach ~sand was a bit dirty~they need to work on that

Our tiny room #212 at Art Plus Hotel~ Tel Aviv
Our mirror said "Looking Good" I really liked that!

We checked our Carmel Market, it was ok, I've been to A LOT of markets in a lot of places and pretty much all of them are about the same so this one didn't really do it for me... although I did spot some funny things... like this big pile of underwear... oh yeah and this American Beer Pong Bar that had USA license plates all over the outside wall.
Carmel Market - Next to the undies were of course a big pile of bras...

Carmel Market - Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv has pretty parts and dirty parts just like any other city...
The people were very nice and I felt safe the entire time I was there.
Although when I walked passed a few banks that had security outside with big guns and medal detectors before a customer could even go inside I wondered if maybe I should not have been feeling so safe...

Tel Aviv is the second-largest city in Israel, with an estimated population of 404,400 and is the 17th most expensive city in the world.  In 2010, Tel Aviv has been named the third-best city in the world by Lonely Planet, third-best in the Middle East & Africa by Travel + Leisure magazine, and one of the best beach cities in the world by National Geographic.

Next up is Jerusalem which will BLOW YOUR MIND!
Oh yeah and one final night in Tel Aviv that we will never forget and neither will our dear friend Lauren who may or may not have left her passport in a taxi...

Stay Tuned!

Cheers,
WMMc
