A few other things we did in Jerusalem...
We met up with a friend mid-day and headed off for yet another 3 hour tour, this time Mount of Olives tour...
Mount of Olives is the hill facing the old city of Jerusalem, on the eastern side of Kidron valley. Its name came from the olive trees that once grew on its hillside from ancient times. According to Jewish tradition, the Messiah will appear here and bring the dead back to life. Therefore, the hillside became the most holiest cemetery, and the hillside is covered by thousands of grave stones.

Above are several ancient and large olive trees, perhaps the descendents from the original olive trees from the times of Jesus.
The
Chapel of the Ascension in
Jerusalem is a Christian and Muslim holy site that is believed to mark the place where Jesus ascended into heaven. The small round church/mosque contains a stone imprinted with the very
footprints of Jesus.

We also took a tour of Masada while we were in Jerusalem... Drove passed the city of Jericho... drove passed Bedouin communities and much much more. Jerusalem was seriously fascinating and I am so lucky and happy that we got to go there for a visit.

I could go on and on and tell you more, but I must stop here and recommend that you go see for yourself.
Cheers,
