Beiber Fever

If you haven't already heard Justin Beiber turned on the Christmas lights at Westfield London on Monday December 5...  I'm not really a Beiber fan after all I'm not really his "target audience"...  The event started at 5pm so I showed up at 4pm knowing that I would not get a great spot which was fine with me I just wanted to be there to see the crowd, have a good laugh at the screaming teeny boppers, and to say that I was there.

Beiber Fever at Westfield London

I ended up on the the 3rd level squished between tiny kids and smelly teenagers.  I took my oldest niece to see NSync when she was 11 and thought seeing Justin Beiber would be a breeze compared to that, but I was wrong.  Teenagers are much different now, for instance, one guy, probably 13 or 14?,  kept trying to push the metal fencing down and push forward, this would have caused everyone to race to a glass wall that was only 4.5 feet tall and hundreds of feet above the concrete floor below.  After his third attempt of pushing and trying to recruit younger kids into helping him I interrupted the kid and simply told him, "NO", and gave him my "I'm serious" look. He stopped.

As for what teeny boppers wear these days?  Most of them had on school uniforms, others were wearing stuff that looked mostly like pajamas, the guys dressed pretty normal nothing special just stuff that you'd see in a Hollister ad, and I am pleased to report I only saw one silly girl that needed to put on more clothes... she looked like she was trying out for a spot on Olivia Newton John's "Let's get physical" video.  She thought she was hot stuff though because she kept posing for pictures that she kept forcing her very uninterested friend into to taking.

How did he sound?  I don't know if it was because we were in the heart of a huge mall and I was on the 3rd floor... or that it was hard to hear over a couple thousand screaming kids, or just that he sounded awful... but yeah, he sounded awful.

By the way, the Beiber also filmed his latest "Mistletoe" video in Franklin, TN which is a very charming little town/city about a 20 minute drive from downtown Nashville.  If you ever go to Nashville it's worth it to spend a couple hours walking around Main Street in Franklin especially in the Fall.  Cute shops, tasty food, and ton's of charm.
