We usually have a 4th of July garden party to celebrate the 4th, but this year it won't be happening. Sniff Sniff... I will be celebrating the 4th from a rooftop in one of the most charming cities in the States and to be honest I'm pretty excited about it. I had been wanting a summer Stateside visit for a while now, but at $1400 a pop for an economy seat I was ignoring the urge... However, when prices dropped a couple+ hundred bucks I pulled the trigger and hit the purchase button. So with that said "RANCH DRESSING HERE I COME!"
If you won't be Stateside and will be celebrating the 4th in London here are a couple options for ya:
American Beer Festival
The White Horse in Parson's Green is hosting an American beer festival.
The festival will feature beers from the Goose Island, Rogue and Sierra
Nevada breweries. Along with the various American beers, there will
also be a special six course meal in partnership with Goose Island
brewery. There will be live blues and rock music. Weather
permitting, there will be an outdoor BBQ. Entry is free.
Hot Dog Eating Contest
The Blues Kitchen in Camden
will be hosting a hot dog eating contest. Last year's winner will take
on a new challenger. Along with the hotdog madness, Americans can also
get a free drink. Just bring your US passport with you. Free live soul music in the evening.
