So my next stop was one of my all time favorites... drum roll please....
Sam's Sports Bar and Grill located in charming Hillsboro Village a cozy area of Nashville near Vanderbily campus as well as the hospital... I know, I know... A sports bar? Yes, a sports bar! Their food is delicious and they have a ton of TV's. I always order one of two things, the chicken tenders (real chicken none of that processed crap) basket that includes their delicious fries and a side of creamy ranch dressing (one of my favorite things in the world) or the half rack of ribs with fries... yeah I said, I usually order one of the two, but since I have moved to London and now have limited time in Sam's
I ORDERED BOTH! Not the healthiest thing to do, but definitely a delicious one.
I also made it a point to try a new place while I was home, so I choose
Copper Kettle, a very casual meat & three. It was good, but I ordered a sandwich for some reason... not the best choice after all it IS a meat and three not a sandwich shop... my mom ordered the meat loaf and was in heaven! I had a coupon so we both ate lunch for a mere $8.50! That would NEVER happen in London.

Mom's meatloaf, sweet potatoes, and turnip greens from Copper Kettle |

California Club and fried okra from Copper Kettle... not gross... just disappointing... I hear they have a great brunch... maybe I'll give them a second try at brunch time...?? |
I'm running a bit low on blogging time at the moment so my next post will be about my last two stops... one being my favorite, well, my runner up to Marche's and a new place inside the new Nordstrom's in Green Hill's mall... after that no more Nashville food talk for a while. I promise.
By the way, did I tell you that we're going to South Africa for 10 days??!!! Holy shot are we excited!!
