The last leg of our South African journey was to the wine country... A charming place called "Franschhoek" (population 15k). It is tucked away in the mountains and is absolutely gorgeous!
We stayed at a gorgeous hotel named
Mont Rochelle, we loved it there! The food at their restaurants was absolutely delicious! I don't even want to think about all the times we couldn't decide what we wanted so we ordered it all... oh my poor waist line...
Mont Rochelle is more of a boutique wine so unfortunately it will be hard for us to find their oh so tasty Sauvignon Blanc and Rose`... but trust me if there is a will there is a way!!! or hmmm maybe I will just have to use that as an excuse to go back?! (smile)
The property was postcard perfect, thatched roof, rolling hills, mountain views, endless rows of grapes, gorgeous pool, beyond perfect herb garden where I started
stealing sampling strawberries from on a daily basis, and our room even had heated carpet, not just heated tiles in the bathroom, but heated carpet through out the room.
I loved it there! I could have totally stayed another couple of nights.

Their general manager, Sean, checked us in, he was so helpful and nice. He made us feel very VIP and took care of us the whole time.
