Brighton

Friday was yet another field trip day. Emily collected me at 9:15am sharp and off we went. After arriving at Victoria Station we found our way to the National Rail and off we go. 40 minutes later we arrive in Brighton. Brighton is located on the southern coast and became a sea bathing destination in the 18th century although it existed way before that...

We arrived and headed to the information station where a lovely man was taken with us immediately, to the point he walked us outside and gave us the directions we needed.  He told us how to get to the pier so we could buy ice cream and see funny hats, but the sad thing is we NEVER saw a funny hat (insert sad face).

First order of business was seeing the Royal Pavilion and its gardens. It looked straight out of India and seemed so out of place in sweet little Brighton.
Royal Pavilion Gardens:

We then strolled through the streets and saw some interesting things along the way:
Thats Jimi Hendriz painted on the building.

We found these heels in a store called Sassy

I asked the store employee what made them use the American Flag as a door for their changing room and he started making up reasons pretty fast, none made any real sense of course... I just looked at him with this blank stare while not saying a word... I may write the store owner a letter. I didn't see England's flag being used like that...

A tiny alley... The shop ahead of me with the pink front was in the plastering business. Apparently people like to plaster the butts, the boobs, the pregnant bellies, you name it, they plaster it.

Cute jewelry... I tried on the tea cup and saucer ring, but it was too big.
Well dressed stained glass...

Brighton Pier:

That is pebbles/rocks...not sand...

Next blog will be... one word... YUMMY!

Cheers,
WMMc
