Music City needs your help

Sunday night we went online for a second and learned that my heart and soul was drowning.  Nashville was flooding and there was nothing anyone could do, but get to higher ground. It was the biggest flood in Nashville's history. Landmarks such as the Grand Ole Opry (luckily it wasn't the real one "the Ryman"), Country Music Hall of Fame, Symphony, all the businesses down 2nd Avenue, Riverfront Park, LP Field where the Titans play, Bicentennial Mall, Opryland Hotel & Resort and much much more...  I'm still waiting to hear the fate of The Hermitage Home of President Andrew Jackson (where we got married)

Area's outside of Nashville such as Bellevue, Franklin, Hillsboro Village, Brentwood, Clarksville, Hendersonville, Erin, and pretty much all of middle Tennessee.  The town where I went to college was flooded about an hour outside of Nashville. The bank where my friend works was pretty much up to the top of the main doors in dirty river water. An apartment that my friend use to live in was 5 feet deep in river water, had she not moved a year or so ago she would of lost everything, but her former co-worker who lived down the hall wasn't so lucky, he did lose everything.  My friends newsroom was flooded and the flood stopped 3 houses down from him. He only closed on that house a couple of weeks ago.  The flooding downtown stopped one street from my mom.

Other friends have 3-5 feet of water in their basements, with washer, dryers, water heaters, and many other items just drowning/standing in dirty water.  Leaking roofs. One lost their camper into the river that was once a creek in their back yard. Some are without electricity, phones, and some are without water. It is a mess.

Many areas are having water issues due to treatment plant issues.  It's a nightmare that I never thought a charming city like Nashville would have to endure.  I love that city. It's like one of my best friends is hurt, it's just gut wrenching, and will take months and months if not longer to recover.
