My latest find: Bill's Cafe, Restaurant and Store located on upper St. Martin's Lane behind Jamie's Italian (in the St. Martins Courtyard - take the alley entrance next to Jamie's)
From award-winning breakfasts through to delicious and unusual lunch dishes and the twinkling of candles by night, Bill's is the place to be. I do think they need to work on their WAY to dense Buttermilk Pancakes (they need to be light and fluffy). They also need to give more of their tasty citrus infused syrup to help with the dryness. If you can pick a pancake up and it does not bend it is NOT a pancake it is a cake.
4 of us met up for Saturday brunch at Bill's. All newbies, 2 ordered pancakes, 2 ordered Eggs Benedict. Pancakes need some work. They weren't horrible just not what buttermilk pancakes should be like. The eggs benedict was tasty, but the ham was too fatty at times. The Egg of the Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection!
Their decaf cappuccino was perfect and actually DECAF. Always a plus+
Service was nice and the place was adorable! We will be back although next time we are ALL going to order the Vegetarian Breakfast that we spotted being delivered to a table next to us on the way out. IT LOOKED DEEEEELICIOUS!!
