Hotel Scribe

Kelly has a thing for hotels so here you go Kelly :)

While in Paris we stayed at Hotel Scribe next door to the Opera. Great Great location!
It's also around the corner from Fauchon.  You know how I love Fauchon!
Room 169 ~ Bed was really comfy
our view was pretty weird so i recommend not staying in Room 169 if you like good views
Hermes products
Concierge was effective, but acted like we were annoying her by asking for a nearby dinner spot...  She did send us to a great spot called Barlotti.  From the street level entrance you think... eeh... I dont know if I want to eat here... then they take you down stairs to this open floor plan room that's got this really high ceiling with skylight, cool columns, tacky coat check girl that wont stay off her phone, slow waiters, average food, but overall I'd probably go back. The atmosphere/decor is pretty nice. We enjoyed it. Their pasta is definitely not made in house though. I know fresh pasta and that was not it. Still decent though. Just not fresh.

Barlotti is a short walk to Harry's Bar - oldest cocktail bar in Europe...

Harry’s New York Bar
harrysbar
This Paris institution was opened in 1911 as The New York Bar; it later got its name from Harry McElhone, a Scotsman who was hired to run the bar. In a time when Paris was flooded with more and more Americans from the artistic and literary communities, Harry helped popularize the bar and make it a spot where ex-pats could feel at home.
Harry’s bar is not only the birthplace of the Bloody Mary, but has also hosted many famous American ex-pats and international celebrities like Sinclair Lewis, Hemingway, Bogart, Gershwin and more...

Merci,
WMMc
