Day trip to Monaco

Sunday we took the train to Monaco...bad idea!  A lady the day before recommended the bus and so when the guy at the hotel told us to take the train and I questioned him about the view (view on the bus ride vs. view on the train ride) and he said they have the same view I knew without a doubt to take the bus (no way did they have the same view)... anyways...

I've been told before by my husband that "we always do what "I" want to do" (that isn't always true by the way)... so when he said do you want to take the train or the bus  (I had told him the day before I wanted to take the bus so obviously he ignored me) I told him we could take the one he wanted to take after all we can't always do what I want to do, can we?... (Stupid me, I should have stood my ground on taking bus)...

We walk FOREVER to get to the nasty train station.. buy our train tickets (cheap! only 3.50 euro each)...  wait a half hour for the train... CRAM ourselves into this silly train. Yes, CRAM.

I somehow got 2 seats for us and once we sat down at least 75+ people crammed in around us and preparing to stand until they got to their destination.  The train car that we were in stunk of urine and we were constantly hit with purses, elbows, butts, backpacks, and who knows what else.  As for the view... WHAT VIEW?  The train ride totally sucked.

The upside of the train ride was Mike's neighbor on the train.  I thought for sure he was going to be in Mike's lap at any minute. That would have been priceless!

Mike's train buddy.  This guy slept the whole time. He had greasy hair, a black eye, a cut under his eye, skin tight jeans, his zipper was down and he smelled of urine.  He never woke up while we were on the train.
One thing I know is that I do not like people to be "on" me...  On this train ride I had no choice.  I am not happy in this picture.  Good thing the ride was only 25 minutes.

more of Mike's train buddies... people were crammed in everywhere... it was not good.
Next time I will give you a run down of what I thought about Monaco... for now I'm just going to go have another giggle about this ridiculous train ride.  I will give you a teaser and tell you that we took the bus back to Nice (smile) It was a glorious ride (smile)  Get this the bus ride was only 1 euro each! YES, ONLY 1 EURO EACH! What a deal!
