Lisbon, Portugal

I just want to start by saying that the people in Lisbon, Portugal just may be the nicest people on the planet.

St. George's Castle overlooking Lisbon, Portugal. It can be seen from any viewpoint in the city and its oldest parts date back to the 6th century.

Our tram tour through the hills of Lisbon. It took about an hour & a half and cost 18 euros per person.  This city is sooooo San Francisco-isque.  It was a cool way to see the city.

Ah yes, the Pasteis de Belem, a 160 year old bakery that you can smell from miles away, that smell is none other than their delicious custard tarts which are sprinkled in powdered sugar and cinnamon (I ate "7" of them) and loved each and everyone. I even bought a coffee mug and saucer set to remember them by.

Sunset from the Bairro Alto Hotel rooftop bar... in the distance you will see the 25th of April bridge (Golden Gates sister)

They are known for their seafood...

Well...this one just made me laugh. I also liked the colors of the clothes against the plain and dirty house...

There was a LOT of graffiti in Lisbon. Not pretty graffiti either. Just crap graffiti. They need to work on that. It's a distraction to their pretty city.

P.S. Try their Portuguese beer "Sagres" it is very tasty.  Don't try their Bohemia beer though...it tastes really bad.

Lisbon is a 2 hour flight from London if you were wondering...

Until our next adventure I bid you a good day.

Cheers,
WMMc
